HP 12C Platinum

The HP 12C Platinum is a mid-cost financial calculator. This calculator has many specs in common with the closely related HP 12C. Both calculators have adjustable contrast for their one line LCD display (though the 12C's is 12 characters and the 12C Platinum is only 10 characters), so that you can adapt it to the light you have or do not have.

Both calculators have the ability to program complex keystrokes, so that you can make them automatic. With over 100 business functions built into these calculators, you can figure out loans, savings, leasing, amortization, and bond prices (with yield to maturity). Both calculators are recommended by HP for use in finance, accounting, economics and business work. The 12C Platinum is a step up from the HP 12C in that it has a 399 step memory capacity (as opposed to just 99) and over 130 built in functions (as opposed to 120). The HP 12C Platinum comes with a one year warranty.
