The Canon Faxphone L170 is a black & white printer / fax-machine that utilizes a 33.6Kbps modem to transmit a page every 3 seconds. It hosts a compact design and includes a telephone handset for making calls, but it lacks many advanced functions like Caller ID or answering-machine compatibility.

In fact, the L170 is mainly designed to function as a fast (19ppm) printer and, of course, a high-functioning fax machine. Featured is a smartly designed control panel for easy operation, compatibility with only Windows, and a 50-sheet auto document feeder.
